Student visa: Visit Australia to participate in a course of study.
Eligibility for the Student Visa Subclass 500:
- must be 6 years or older and age range for associated school or level courses;
1) less than 17 when commencing Year 9
2) less than 18 when commencing Year 10
3) less than 19 when commencing Year 11
4) less than 20 when commencing Year 12
- be enrolled in a registered course of study in Australia, AQF award or non-award (foundation) ;
- have a welfare arrangement including guardian and homestay, if you are under 18 ( a minor);
- hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC);
- meet English language proficiency requirements IELTS or PTE, if required;
- be sufficient financial capacity in form of deposit, study loan or incomes;
- be genuine temporary entrant – GTE
- pass the health examination
- hold a substantive visa other than the visa specified, if in Australia
- be within 28 days if a previous student visa expired in Australia;
