Subclass 188 is a temporary business innovation and investment visa issued to foreigners who plan on investing or operate a new or existing business in Australia. Subclass 888 is a permanent residency visa for those who hold a five-year provisional subclass 188 visa and looking to continue to own and manage a business or an investment activity in Australia and Australian state or territory respectively. The applicant might not be eligible for this visa (subclass 188) if she or he has had a visa cancelled or refused while you were in Australia.

188A Business Innovation stream
You must
Meet Basic eligibility requirements, and
- Provide proof of your business success for 2 out of 4 fiscal years immediately
- Annual turnover at least AUD$750,000, and
- Ownership interest at least 30 per cent whether you have 1 or 2 businesses
- Provide evidence of your assets when you are invited to apply for this visa
- Net business & personal assets at least AUD$1.25 million
- Have a successful business career and a genuine desire to continuously own and manage a business in Australia.
- Operate a new or existing business at least 3 years in Australia
- Stay in Australian for up to 5 years
- Apply for a permanent visa 888 if certain criteria are met
